How long do I have to wait?

I have a number of transactions in my Quicken for charges on a credit card that apparently have never been submitted for payment by the merchant.

They go back from 5 to 7 years.

I seldom use the card anymore but wonder just how long a merchant has to submit a charge for payment.

When can I delete these transactions from my Quicken without having to worry about them suddenly showing up on my bill?

I would say you are well past the "statute of limitations" for processing these transactions. It has been a long time since dealing with these, but I believe anything over 90 days has to be reauthorized.

I would say you can safely delete these...

there is a STATUS link on QUICKEN that you can check any transaction that was made FROM your quicken account.

This is a great feature...I am really glad they added this.
