   Hi does anyone know about this new tax rebate. I am currently paing back old taxes and they took my rebate from this year. Does that also apply to this tax rebate they are giving out this summer?

   Yes, as the rebate is just like a "refund", so if you owe back taxes, they will "take it" and apply it towards your back taxes due.
   
   But, it is like a free payment to them!
