I have a Question, I did the mistake of getting a Nextcard bank card in 7/1999 I paid until Mar, 2002 when I had suffered A Stroke and was forced into a Chapter 13. There is no contact information available for that firm and the Bank is Defunct but however tha latest update on my EQ. report was 6/08 and they keep updating every month a KD ...How can this be? When there is no contact information... and the account should have have been deleted and closed out years ago!

    Dispute the tradeline.

It was probably sold to Merrick Bank ... no telling whether MB kept it or sold it to someone else. You'll have to ferret out that info.

Thanks, I will dispute the Tradeline, Because it was listed in my Schedule of Debtors(H) Petition and discharged accordingly however, it still is updated every month only on Equifax and it doesn't even exist on Experian, And Trans Union

If it was included & discharged in a bankruptcy petition, send the CRA a copy pf your discharge and a copy of tour reditor matrix, and tell them that the debt has ben discharged.

No no no! Not unless you want to lose the ability to dispute the BK and have it come off before the full 10 years are up.

Sending BK papers to a CRA is the very last resort of someone who is in a serious bind to get correct reporting of an IIB TL and is willing to accept the pyhrric victory of having that TL report correctly.
