Got a letter which left me in stitches. First, the company received via facsimile to their legal dept a validation letter, with a suit... 5 days later, still within the validation period, they send another letter... It gets better... THEY MIS-SPELLED THEIR OWN COMPANY'S NAME!!! Unless Sertives is a new spelling of Services... I just love using [sic] in complaints, it makes me look like I'm the idiot that can't spell...
I read an article in The Globe about the office manager of a certain CA in Massachusetts that was arrested for porn and pedophilia. UGH! Woofer
The sad thing is that this is their FORM LETTER... And the validation letter was faxed directly to their LITIGATION MANAGER... JLynn: I think you would know who it is if I told you it was a TX CA/CRA owned by First Data Corporation... I think you've had some fun dealings with them in the past...
Nope... They used to go by their proper CRA name "Recovery Services", now ironically _RS Recovery Services. So even their name is redundant... The most idiotic thing is that they've been told by SO MANY COURTS that their letters violate the FDCPA by over-shadowing, and they still use the same letters, which tell the consumer, essentially... It doesn't matter if you dispute the account, until you pay it, we'll list you on our CRA's database and blacklist you with over 300,000 businesses... Oh, but if you want to waste your time, and ours, turn it over for the notice that we have to provide you anyhow.
