Are there any laws spelling out what a "legal communication" is? A piece of mail sent by a creditor or collection goon is deemed legal if sent by CMRRR, and you signed for it. A piece of mail sent by them first class is a completely fifferent issue given the USPS' track record of losing mail, or misdelivering mail. (One of my requested credit reports was recently brought over by one of my neighbors as the mail delivery guy put it in his mail box.)
But what about emails?? Are emails considered legal ways/forms of communication?

Faxes are letters which have a company letterhead and are signed, but not sent via mail, but over the fax machine. So legal communication? Yes.
Where did you get the idea that most bankruptcies are done by email?
