I have a paid collection that I sent a nutcase letter CMRRR to the address shown on the CR. I checked the tracking number and usps shows that an attempt to deliver was made on 8/1 and notice left. It still has not been picked up.

The last report date on the CR is 3/2005. I have called the CA and they have no record of me in their system. What advice do you have now? Do I dispute with the CRA to have it removed??

    Any help would be appreciated!

They sent me through three people and nobody could find me. It is a collection for AT&T and they don't handle them anymore. They have not picked up the CMRRR letter.

They also said that they generally don't hold accounts longer than 6 months and everything is purged after 2 years.

You can dispute as not mine i think if they can't find you they can't verified it

Eventually you should get your unclaimed letter back as evidence of the CAs refusal to accept it. I guess you're tracking the certificate number from the USPS website. You could make screen captures of that report too.

Did you happen to confirm their address while you were on the phone with them?

I did not confirm it. However I finally did receive the green card where they picked it up. I don't really know why they didn't get it before. Hoping to get my letter any time now with them telling me they don't have any info.

Especially looking forward to it since I got two responses on my husbands CR where they verified the accounts as paid. Grrr...well at least they fall off in 2010.
