My wife and I are thinking of going through Credit Negotiations Inc. (CNI) to help us get out of debt. We are making min payments on our CC but the debt never seems to go away. Is this a smart thing to do? What are the +'s and -'s to doing this? What should we be worried about? Is this safe? I am sure this has been asked before but some help from real people would be nice.

The easiest way to get out of debt is filing bankruptcy - Chapter 7.

Been there done that.If your in for a long grind and if your already in collections.forget it your throwing good money away bk 7 is what we did after spending thousands of dollars to get out of debt it doesn't help your credit rating nor score.however if your not in trouble you just have to grind it out.

    Before going that route

Try the debt snowball that Dave Ramsey recommends. He has a website with all the info

It's your choice to get out of debt.before you do anything consult with a financial advisor, after all it is your life. However at the end of your program if it was charged off it's still a charge off.All they do is make your payment.charge a fee and collect somebadk from the cc companies. So it's win win for them.I'm just telling you what happen to us.
