I was young and stupid and had a gf put me on her cc as a authorized user. Now 3 years later i am applying for a mortgage and she is now over her limit and 60 days late. My mortgage broker said i should be able to get this removed. The cc company will not give me a letter stating i am just a authorized used and not responsible for the payments. I am also a cosigner on a hsbc card. Same over limit deal. I paid this one down though. Is there any way to get these off fast. Please any help would be great...

Dispute it with cra's as (I was never authorized to use this account). On the second one try a goodwill letter stating because of a hardship you weren't able to pay on time.

Are you still an AU?? If not, dispute it with the CRs as 'not mine". CCs have this habit of not removing or correcting information - just to keep consumers' credit histories in the toilet.

AU's are very simple to remove. "I am not financially responsible for this account, please remove", is usually sufficient.

The HSBC account, since you are a co-signer as opposed to an AU is going to be hard to remove. HSBC seems to keep very good records.

Most of the time they do however their not reporting my bk 7,and that i was in a credit releif program when they charged off which breech the terms of the agreement whicn i believe is disputable i think correct me if im wrong.

They have to report that it was Included in BK, with a -0- balance, but it is also perfectly legal for them to report the final status as of the bankruptcy filing date.

    ie IIB/30 days late...
    IIB/charge off
    IIB/credit relief program

Their reporting a balance,i called the ca and talked to them, they asked if i was going to pay them off or further collection will be necessary now they mentioned the banruptcy in 1998.They said it wouldn't apply to this collection. So they have no knowledge of the 2007 bk.no 11b listed no credit relief listed.Although they did say about them sending payments so i think there lying or they have no clue.

I'm confused. You first said HSBC, and then you said the CA - which is reporting?

Both are reporting it with no mention of the bk7.
