Earlier today I went online to annualcreditreport.com to view and print each of my three credit reports. Didn't have any trouble with Transunion or Experian - but with Equifax.
Their crap: Internet delivery unavailable - mail in request
We're sorry, for your protection we are unable to deliver your FACT Act Equifax Free Annual Report on the internet. There are a number of reasons that we may bw unable to fulfill your request online. You may have a security freeze on your credit file, an Active Duty Military or Fraud Alert, or the identificatopn information submitted online may not match the information on file.
Then it tells me that if I want it to print out the request form and attach one of the following from each category:
    Identity:
    SS card - copy of
Pay stub with SS # on it - copy of
    W2 form - copy of

    Address:
    Copy of driver's license
    Copy of rental/lease agreement
Copy of pay stub with address
Copy of any utilty bill reflecting my name and address.

WTF - I myself never put a security freeze or fraud alert on my credit history . AS mentioned in my first paragraph, had no issues/troubles viewing and printing TU and Experian.
So WTF is up with these idiots?????????????

Just a suggestion: Based on my recent studying-up on these credit/debt matters, it is my understanding you have to be extremely careful what documentation you send to the CRAs. For example, NEVER send a copy of your DL or your W2. A safe combination to send is copies of SS card and utility bill.

What possible harm could come from sending Equifax a copy of your DL?
