Not sure what to think about this one. About 8 months ago I disputed an old cell phone account I had thought was included in a Chap 7 filed in 2002. Once I finally got ahold of a live person at the place I found out that the account was opened shortly after the BK was filed. Things were so bad back then I barely had my sanity. I'm not surprised I didn't remember it right away. It was 200 so I paid it off. They updated it as a paid off delinquent account which did nothing for my credit score but made me feel better that I had taken care of it. Yesterday I get an alert from Scorewatch reporting a change to an existing account. I check it out & see they have updated this acct to a included in BK status. Huh???? I don't get it. Why would they do that 8 months later? I don't think it will do anything to my credit score but it just seems strange. Anyone else dealt with something like this? Thanks, Tegleg
Alot of times during a bankruptcy people forget so in the bankruptcy code you can add on after and the creditors will also be it should be listed as paid so i would dispute it on the basis that it's listed incorrectly even though it can be listed as bk but not listed on your sch f.
