Just recieved a letter today from 1st National CC that they are now going to delete all tradelines from all 3 CRA's! I've been disputing a 30 and 60 day late payments from them for about 6 months, unfortunately they are deleting the entire tradeline but its better to have no TL then a TL w/ late payments on it!

I used the dispute letter reciting the FCBA and I assume they didnt want to do the accounting. I sent the same one off to US Bank and wasn't so lucky. They responded that I have to use a specific transaction to dispute. They either are just trying to avoid doing the accounting or didn't understand my request...oh well..I'll fire it off again here next week, hopefully it lands on someone else's desk!

    US Bank would be correct.

And don't assume that no tradeline is better than a tradeline with lates.

It depends on the rest of your report. It's history, and the effects of the "baddies" diminishes with time. The value of the history increases with time.

Why are you using the FCBA? Are there erroneous charges that you're disputing?
