I recieved a letter,droped off by a guy last night from what looks like the state of texas.Its from a credit card company,witch looks like there sueing me.At the top of the first page it has riginal petition with request for disclosures & admissions :. I also has address ,name. In another paragraph it has the following : You are commanded to appear by filing a written answer to the Plaintiff's original petition at or before 10:00 o'clock a.m. of the Monday next after the expiration of 20 days from the date of service of this citation in the county court at law no. two of tarrant county, texas at the courthouse located at 100 west weatherford st., fort worth, texas. The original petition was filed on 01/07/09. FIA CARD SERVICES, N.A., FORMERLY KNOWN AS, BANK OF AMERICA, N.A. V S XXXXXXNOTICE TO DEFENDANT YOU HAVE BEEN SUED. YOU MAY EMPLOY AN ATTORNEY. IF YOU OR YOUR ATTORNEY DO NOT FILE A WRITTEN ANSWER WITH THE CLERK WHO ISSUED THIS CITATION BY 10:00 A.M. The letter is dated on 1/7/09 There is a lawyers name on it,if I were to try to make some kind of arrangments wood the lawyer do it.Should I try to get a lawyer to.
Now that is interesting indeed. These debt collectors and lawyers will try to make you believe anything. Reminds me of the old birthday party trick where you tell the kids you can show them how to see the moon and the stars through a pants leg. The kid looks up the pants leg and gets a cup of water in the face. (LOL)
You may wish to do a little more research. Seems as though the debt collector and lawyer are right this time.
