Alright I'm 25 and have a fairly good score of 749. Upon looking into my report I have found that the reason for my score being brought down is that I have cards that were opened recently/not having a long enough history. I was wondering if anyone knows if I close out my more recent cards and only maintain my older accounts if that will assist in building that score. In essence will those newer accounts if closed be removed from my credit report.

Closing your newer accounts will not increase your score. In fact, it will hurt your score because your credit utilization will be negatively impacted.

Congrats on building a good credit score at a young age though. It will continue to improve as your credit history ages, so just try to be patient and keep doing what you've been doing.
