Heres a good-un....My, friend does this......Is it illegal to write deceased on a credit collection envelope and return it to sender....?
Probably not illegal by any means but there might be some unexpected repercussions later down the line. Such as what is he going to do if he needs credit at some time later and it shows up on his credit report that he is deceased? Your friend might think it is a cute trick but in my opinion it is not cute at all.
