Can I dispute this or am I out of luck?

So I had a perfect credit track record, always paying everything on time. I had one card still with a 20k+ balance from a big balance transfer I did before the credit crisis kicked in. The interest rate went up, so I just paid off the card with the entire balance written on the statement. Two months later, I get a ding on my credit report for 30 days late. Turns out that I owed like $90 still because the balance had accrued interest that month before I paid off the card. My scores plummeted. I've tried calling the bank twice to ask them to remove it (btw, I paid the remaining balance), but nobody seems to be able to help.

Is this situation disputable with the credit agencies or am I just screwed? Thanks.

You should go in person on a goodwill mission and talk to the president or somebody that has the power to reverse it.If all else fails call your local TV stations consumer reporter.and file a claim with the BBB.How long have you been with the bank?If its years point that out to them and if they don't change it.Walk your money across the street to their competitor.

We're talking about Bank of America here. Going to the local branch would help?

You can try that first or email corp headquarters and get someone that will!
