    Hi All,

Great Forum. I'm hoping to learn alot and share the little I know.

OK. I have 2 negatives on my credit report.

Negative1: Amex - Status: Closed, Paid in Settlement
Negative 2: Macys - Closed, Charge Off

I have disputed both items above with the CRAs and both came back as "Verified". I contacted Macys and requested a detailed statement within 30 days. Its been 30 days now and I haven't received anything.

My next step is to contact all credit bureaus and request the "method of investigation" for both negatives listed above and ask again for a deletion of both.

    Now, for my questions.
    1) Am I going about this the right way?
    2) If I go to a credit repair company, do I have a better shot at this or am I just flat out wasting my money?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give. This forum rocks!

1.you can try a goodwill letter but at this point in time there playing hard ball.
2.On a charge off you can try paying it,but at this point in time I don't think it would do you any good.
3.You might consult with Apex.He might be able to help you.

    Itâ??s instance for credit repair.
Formerly a creditor sells a defaulted explanation to a collector they are no longer invented to report a past outstanding balance. This is capable of removed through a small credit repair attempt.

A 'hit' just means someone looked at your thread. If they didn't reply, they may simply feel that they don't have a good answer for you. This reply, for example, is a good example of that.
