For those of you who have this attached to your checking accounts you may want to monitor your maximum credit lines. Even though I have never been late with this account and they have never done an "account review" up until now (I've had this account since before it was California Federal Bank) they have decided to reduce my credit line and use some past blunders that are still on my credit report as an excuse. Fortunately, at least I'm still under my new credit limit (unlike what a previous creditor did to me) and I realize that a lot of banks and creditors are doing things like this these days in light of the current economy. Has anyone else had this happen yet?
Sorry to hear about this Cathy. I've heard the same story from many of our visitors as well as personal friends. Some have even had their lines completely frozen. I expect Citibank, and others, will continue to cut limits and freeze accounts throughout the rest of the year and into 2010 as they try to improve their balance sheets and figure out how to operate profitably within the new credit card laws.
