    Someone Please Help me!!!

How do I get a debt off my credit report ?

I had a rental car from Enterprise, the car had some damage from a firehose of the local fire department. Enterprise tried to go after me for 1900.00, but my lawyer had sent them(Enterprise) a letter stating that it was the city who was responsible. The city even agreed. I have heard nothing, but there is a 1900.00 charge on my credit from them and they havn't even tried recovering the money from the city. How do I remedy this?

    PLEASE!!!!!

I'd say you should start with a dispute to the credit bureaus stating that the debt is not mine.

Read your rental agreement. Even though a third party maybe responsible, you are responsible for any and all damage unless you bought their insurance coverage.

Your only option is to pay it and then go after the City.

Actually, buying Enterprise's insurance is a scam. And this should be an easy win for you. I talked with a former disgruntled Enterprise worker and he said that buying the rental cars company insurance is just money for the company. ENTERPRISE is already required by law to have their vehicles insured by their own insurance provider.
But since a 3rd party has already claimed responsibility for the accident, I would file a dispute as well with the credit bureaus.

I agree 100% that car rental company insurance is a scam, however, as the renter you are 100% responsible for any damage to the vehicle.

If the OP has car insurance it may cover it or if rented with a credit card, it may also cover it.
