Hi Marie, Where can I find this? You can find the letters here: Debt Validation - experts please help thread 32878 Debt Validation2 - experts please help thread 32879 No Debt Validation=Remove trade line letter thread 32991
As has been mentioned many times, this thread is nine years old. Marie hasn't been here in ages. Things change. Search and try to find more recent threads. As far as letters go, writing you own, in simple language, is the best way to go. No quoting laws or asking for the kitchen sink.
Oh well. I took care of collection agency in one letter that I have found here: at awakening blog dot com look for collection agency post That is all what you need. They stopped bothering me and I told them in the letter that they can't resell the debt. MAKE SURE YOU DON'T BLOW THE 30 DAY DISPUTE WINDOW...WHEN you dispute the debt, you put them on notice that you dispute part, or all of the ALLEGED DEBT. Which is true, because they are jacking you with interest, legal fees, handling their sack fees, etc. So you're disputing that until they prove their case. So, if you send the right response letter, they are blocked and checkmated in most cases...(exception...state banks generally because they FOLLOW THE LAW). Good luck. It worked for me every time. Peace, Love, Understanding
Oh? Now where did you find that little goodie? What law says they can't? I went over there and read that thing. So tell me something. You say they can't do anything once they get your validation letter. What are you going to do about it if they don't pay you any attention at all? Or what are you going to do about it if they just keep on calling you and harassing you after you sent your letter? And I also read the article about how the government makes our money out of thin air. Foolish me. Here I always thought they made it out of paper or some kind of metals for our coins. What else can they make out of thin air? I know. Web pages. Blogs too. Heck you did that stop and think about it. Where does electricity come from? Magnetism, right? If it weren't for magnetism there wouldn't be any electricity. That's thin air. Or at least it can travel through thin air and so can electricity. So the gummamint is out there fooling us into thinking we got real money in our pockets and you are out there fooling us into thinking you know what you are talking about. Can't see much difference myself. Except I can take those FRNs and buy gasoline with them and get somewhere and that's a lot more than you have managed to do so far.
Right. All they have to do is stop collecting until they send validation--if you sent the DV letter within 30 days of initial contact. No law says they can't sell it, or add charges, or any such thing. You know, Bill, the moon is made of green cheese. Now I don't know that I've ever tried green cheese, but I do like blue cheese. Maybe we need to send someone back to the moon to bring back the cheese and feed all the starving children.
You didn't think that one through very well Hedwig. First of all what happens to a rat or a mouse if he drinks Coke? Ok. Cheese is very binding, right? What happens when people eat too much cheese? Coke is a great way to lessen the rat or mouse population. They can't get rid of the gas so they bloat and soon explode from the pressure. Same thing happens when a cow gets into green legumes such as alfalfa. They bloat. We used to stab them in the stomach to relieve the gas pressure. Then we learned that all we had to do was stick a piece of garden hose down their throats and the gas could escape that way. Can't get a hose down a rat's throat even if you wanted to cause nobody wants to hold the rat. (LOL). Feed starving kids a load of cheese and you might just get the same results. Not good at all.
But wasn't one of the big government programs handing out cheese? And of course they'd need to eat something else with it.
Yes, there was a big government program handing out big wheels of cheese. That would have been back about 1982 or 1983. Somewhere in that time frame. >br/> There was a joke back then about that program but I'll refrain from posting it here as it might offend some folks.
Ok so a collection agency called me regarding a purchase made that I did not make around 5 months ago. The credit card company had already returned the money and it is deemed fraud. Somehow, this collection agency (CRF solutions) still claims that I owe the money. What should I do?
Please help me with questions. I have recieved a letter from NCO collection agency 6 month ago. After talking to them on the phone, and we did not agree about settelment then I never talked to them again. Now about two weeks ago I recieved a letter from different collection agency trying to collect a debt that I own to original creditor,so I know this is the same debt because NCO stop calling, and I only owne one debt. This what the letter said from this collection agency. You account has been assigned to us for collection.I suggest you that you consult with your attorney about what the law in your state will allow our client to do recover the monies you owned and the further consequences of nonpayment. So I called them and I ask to send me a proof of the debt.I also send a certified letter asking them to send me a copy of the original contract of the debt.About 4 days ago I got a letter from them in the mail with the copy of the contract of my original debt, and two days later I got another letter that has the same thing just the copy of the original debt. Ok. I know I own a debt to the original company, but I know I have tryed to settel with original cerditor before but no luck the won't wright me a contract about setteling antill the get my checking account number, and first payment.I also tryed to deal with a second collection company about the same debt, but also no luck. Please can anybody let me know what to do next to get this fixed? Do I send another certified letter to them asking them again about a proof of the debt? Do I deal with them and try to see if the settel,or just not talk to the them? How about what they said in the letter is that means anything or they just trying to scare me? They are saying that my debt was singned to them, is that mean I can still deal with the original creditor about my debt,or is it means they did buy my debt? How I know if they did buy my debt? Do I send them any in the mail? Do I send a settelment offer in the mail? Please help thank you so mucg I realy want to fix this.
You should start a new thread. A lot of people aren't going to pay any attention to a nine-year-old thread.
Re: Michael's letters I like everything I have read, but with reading it, you say check out Michaels website, what is the link for his site, Also Marie put that the letters can be found here, and shows the treads, unfortunately I am not having any luck finding them. Thank you and any help is greatly appreciated
There is a section in this forum called "Sample Letters". You should be able to find what you need there, including a validation letter.
I have a question how can i remove all of this negatives things from my credit report I haven't talk to any of the collection agencies but we they call me they leave me threatening voice mails on my phone
If you never contact them to demand validation, or to tell them that it's inconvenient for them to call you, they will keep calling you. There is no easy way to remove all collection accounts. It's better to start a new thread with information about specific accounts, while we aren't lawyers, we can help you find things that you may have missed.
Please start a new thread and give us more information aetafolla. We'd like to help out, but we're going to need more than this to get started.
I also would like to thank you for the information. However, I have a huge problem. In April of this year 2013, my employer was served with "wage garnishment" papers to hand to me. Papers that was meant for my first husband who is now deceased, and has been for 26 years. Well, back in 1986 I left my husband because of physical and mental abuse that he was afflicting upon me. It took me 10 years to get up enough nerve to leave that relationship along with my 4 children. To make a long story short, he purchased a vehicle the same year that I left him and he also committed suicide the very next year, 1987 right after he lost his job with a major tractor trailer company. When I arrived at work one Monday morning, I was told to contact payroll, and to my surprise I was told that they would start garnishing my pay of $250.00 each pay day. I was in shock, the only debt that I have is an old student loan that I did not use and also sent a letter to the school to cancel. But the school kept the check even though I did not attend classes. But that's another story. When I found out from my payroll dept. who had served these papers, I contact them. The woman on the other end of the line was very nasty and rude. She told me that they had received orders in 1987 from the court for my husband because they did not receive payments on this car he had purchased. I tried to tell this woman that I have never in my life purchased a car on credit at all. I also told her that I was separated from my husband who had purchased that car and that he is also deceased. The woman told me that because I was still his wife and only "separated" that I am obligated to pay off this car. I then told her that I didn't sign any document for any car that my then husband had purchased. She didn't want to hear it, all she said to me was to pay the $4,000.00 and the debt will go away and that my husband has put my name on the contract, otherwise they will continue to garnish my paycheck until it's paid in full. With every pay my check is so short that I can hardly pay my rent. I have become so frustrated that I have even resigned from my job. I don't know what to do or where to turn. However, I did go to see an attorney to find out about filing Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. But that is so far out of reach for me. I couldn't even save up the $1350.00 that was needed to get the paperwork started. Can someone please give me some advice. I do have three interviews lined up, but I know that it's only a matter of time before these people will start the garnishment of my wages again.
