I only had 3 baddies left, woke up pulled my report 17 baddies, old name and wrong address, called EQ they said I had 2 files, so the merged them and I now had 17 baddies, most were deleted at one time. How can this happen? They will not remove them most are coming off in a year or two might have to freeze it, I asked the when I ordered my hard copy why went they on it? HELP
If you have no documentation of what was done in the past, then it's going to be tough to get anything done without going through the whole dispute process again. So, if there's inaccurate information now that all this new stuff has showed up, it's time to start disputing again. Is the same info. showing up on your other credit reports as well?
no just on EQ, the others are fine this is stuff that was deleted last update was 2007 and I do have a copy of my report just before it happened however they said they can do nothing about it.
If the info. is incorrect, then officially dispute it again. They've deleted it once, so they should delete it again. Well, at least theoretically they should. But if the old name is legit and the accounts should be on there, I'm sorry to say there's probably not a lot you can do other than wait for them to fall off. It sounds like they just finally figured out your file was split and corrected the error on their part.
