What Credit Card is right for me?

First, a bit of advice. Don't close any of your existing cards until you're approved for a new one. Now, if the majority of your purchases are groceries and gas and you want flexible rewards that could be used for travel or cash back, I would recommend checking out the Citi ThankYou Preferred Card.

Not only does it have no annual fee, but Citi just launched a promo that will give you 5 points for every dollar spent on groceries, gas, and at drugstores during the first 12 months. You can also get a 15,000 point sign-up bonus after spending $1,000 during the first 3 months. That's worth an additional $150. ThankYou points can be redeemed for travel or cash back, so you'll have a lot of flexibility there too. Plus, since it has no annual fee, you could use it for this first year to bank all the extra points, and then easily switch to a new card without having to close it or worry about paying another annual fee. It sounds like a perfect fit for you if you're interested in a no annual fee card.
