Who To Send The Letter To?

Ok, in reviewing my personal credit file with all three bureaus, there are inconsistencies of what type of account that Bank of America is reporting. Equifax reports that the debt is an installment, Transunion reports the debt is a credit line, and Experian reports the debt is revolving. The delinquent dates are totally different and the resolutions are inconsistent. Should I send a letter directly to BOA or should I send one to each credit bureau?

The best is to send the letter to the CRA.

You will want to only refer to that CRAs reporting in each letter.

Sending the disputes to the CRA allows you the ability to sue if they continue to verify the incomplete, inaccurate, and unverifiable information, because they are specific disputes.

So even if BOA is reporting different information to each credit bureau, when I address each credit bureau, do I mention how it is reporting to the other credit bureaus?

Not, yet. At least that would be my strategy.

If they verify inconsistently, then I can use the inconsistent verification as proof of the data
    furnishers unreliability.

REPORTING inconsistently isn't something that you can take action on, only VERIFYING incorrect information is actionable. So, I get them on the hook by VERIFYING the incomplete, inaccurate, and unverifiable information first.

You'll want to read Cushman v. TransUnion and Johnson v. MBNA America to see the hows and whys of this approach.
