Independently between my wife's report and mine it's not doing what it should: Mine: No alerts that account has been added to EQ or TU or EX. Hers: Is alerting that two inquires were placed on TU report. When we pull a credit report direct from TU, there is only one. Hers I could let slip, but the fact that it has yet (after over a week) to 'alert' me that a new account has been added is serious. I have all my settings arranged so that when anything changes I should get notified. I love paying for services that don't work.
My clients have the same issue. When they purchase an authorized user account from us and their credit monitoring service never alerts them when the authorized user account has posted on their credit report. It takes me a while to convince them to check their credit anyway and the card is usually always on there without any kind of alert. Thanks! Heather with BoostMyScore.NET
Jason, Issue was fixed. Problem on their end...what was my compensation for not knowing now if new account reported to other bureaus since alert system failed? Nothing. Wow, what service! Oh no wait, I was offered to spend additional $30 for fresh pulls of all 3. That was the solution for their error. Heather, how do you get scores to jump within mere days? I was added to pretty decent account with no movement on score.
Mindcrime, You can see a jump in your score by being added as an authorized user to existing credit card accounts. Tell me more about the accounts that you were added to. Not all banks report authorized user accounts. How were you checking your credit? If you are not checking your credit with a "hard" pull, most websites you can check your credit on do not have to legally include authorized user account when calculating your credit score, since you are not using your credit report to obtain credit. I would maybe pull your credit from a different website and see what kind of results you might see. Thanks! Heather with BoostMyScore.NET
It is reporting, I've verified that much. 8YR history, 1,200CL, no late pays. Checking credit through monitoring service, subscription allowed daily fresh pulls for both report and scores. Anyone using/used myfico to pull? Was it easy to cancel?
Mindcrime, Do you have any other credit cards on your credit report? Have you had any of them longer then 8 years? You have to really pay close attention to what you have on your credit report. If the AU account isn't better then what you have already have on your report then it might not help you. Thanks! Heather with BoostMyScore.NET
Mmm...I am very surprised that you didn't see an increase in your credit score if the AU account is the oldest credit card on your credit. Was there any difference in the score at all? I would be suspicious if there was no change in the credit scores. Maybe they didn't update the credit scores. We always see some kind of change in the credit score when you add a new account. Thanks! Heather with BootMyScore.NET
No change in score. The AU is my oldest revolving. I do have an installment that's a year older/closed (for almost 9 YRS). I haven't run a check through another service like myfico just yet. And yes, considering EQ's alert system wasn't functioning enough to even alert me to the fact that a new account posted to my reports, I don't have 100% in the scoring system anymore, either.
Most of my clients are using our services to help with a car or home purchase. They don't really see the true results until their lender performs a "hard" pull on their credit for financing purposes. All of those websites are useful to see what accounts you have on your credit report but your credit may very. Here is a interesting article from credit.com about online credit scores. Thanks!
