Best Credit Monitoring Service

    Does anyone have any recommendations for a credit monitoring service?

    I am signing my husband up per the advice from someone on this board.

    I would like one that pulls from all 3 CRAs as well as shows you scores, and alerts you to any changes, etc. I was on the phone with TransUnion today and they offered up their service, but I declined. They notify you by mail of any changes which doesn't seem very efficient, I would prefer email.

    I have heard good things about USAA but wanted to see if there were any others out there that anyone had personal experience with.

    I just signed up with EliminateIDTheft for 12.99 and you can add your husband I think for 17.00
    So far so good pulls every 24 hours from all the 3 credit beraus + the scores and monitoring
    good luck.

    My personal information was compromised while Citi filed legal documents to the courts and have offered to pay for a credit monitoring service for a whole year to prevent identity theft. I just signed up for the service today, so I am not even sure which company Citi is paying for. I forgot to ask. I just want to give a kudos to Citi for stepping up. Thanks!     Yeah that's pretty stand-up of them.

    Because most credit cards promote themselves as safer than debit cards and more protective of ID theft, it seems like they're more likely to do an about-face when they let one "slip by the goalie". Then again, I'm sure there are forum members in here who can speak to not having no such luck getting their credit card issuer to extend a similar deal to Heather's...

    Thanks all for the input... After doing a ton of research the past few days, I have found that Eliminate ID Theft is pretty much the only credit monitoring service that lets you pull scores and reports from all 3 CRAs every 24 hours... There aren't really any alternatives.

    So that being said, I've signed both of us up (as Samira said $17 a month for a couple)
