At work, brrrrring... brrrring... brrrrrrring... my cell phone goes... Answer "Hello" (silence) When someone does come on the line, I ask them, "Who is this? and what company are you from?" I get an intelligible name and garbled initials... So every time they ask if I am me, I ask them, "Who is this? and what company are you from?" (click more than a minute or so later) 17 minutes later, brrrrrrring... brrrrrrring... brrrrrrrring... Answer "Hello" (silence) When someone else does come on the line, I ask them, "Who is this? and what company are you from?" I get an intelligible name and garbled initials... But at least I can start to make out some of the letters after the first six times asking them... Send a letter to their attorney, and I get a letter that is sent out the same day saying "we've performed an exhaustive search but we can't find an account, please provide us with more information" right under that sent to the same address, no less, is a second envelope from the same company with the information that they're asking for to be able to answer the first request...
No sooner I sent them my "maybe this will refresh your memory" letter via facsimile, brrrring... brrrrrrring... brrrrrrring... The time to respond to my ITS dropped from a courtesy of a month, to 48 hours...
I really wish compliance officers and employees under them would take the 2 seconds to do a PACER-search before telling me that "you need to do what you need to do." Four cases to file tomorrow morning...
