I have been talking about this in chat alot, but today I am ready to offically say that I have been able to remove 14 inquiries from transunion in about 8 days.

My worthknowing score has jumped from 5 to 32 points. I think that 75% of it has to do with having those inquiries removed. The rest is because I have had new trade lines reported.

The idea came from BKEV. This is exactly what he posted I am just quoting it:

"Trans Union... yes, try an online dispute. List the name of the creditor, with the date of the inquiry as the account number... check the other box as the reason and say never applied for credit- delete. They usually will delete immediately and send you an updated copy of the report with 5-7 business days."

I know a lot of people have tried variations of this approach. But if you do it exactly as described a the aboth it should work.

I am living proof. I only have 7 inquiries left. And most inquiries that got removed where not going drop off until late next year.

It has never failed for me.... thing about Trans Union is that you have to tell them exactly what to do.... Glad to hear!

Waiting for a report to find out? Why? Call.... They don't go 30 days for inquiries... They delete on the spot!

Now if we could only find a viable way, short of a full fledge lawsuit, to get inquiries of Equifax. I would be one happy dude.

I went to the online dispute for TU but unfortunately I am 'serviced' by a local affiliate so I thought I would share the fax number that I got when I called the local, just in case someone else on here is serviced by them. I spoke to a CSR and they said that you can fax disputes the woman even told me to save the transmission sheet as if it were a CRRR. It is

    Leo,

Is that "the date as the account number" or "the date and the account number?"

Congratulations on your success. Bkev appears to have given you good advice.

wow, 3 or 4 inquiries at a time would be better.

I normally do 3 a day everyday other day.

The date AS the account number .

Below is how I do it:

pull a report with worthknowing report, go all the way down.

There's 2 parts to the inquiry. 1) the company that pulled and the date.

Best way to do it is cut and paste. Cut the company ( has to be exactly the same name) and paste it in the company field. Then cut the date and put it in the account number field. Select "other" option and put down "say never applied for credit- delete"

This way hasn't failed me yet. Results will start trickling in after a couple of days. The way to check is to go to worthknowing.com log-in, and delete your account. Then reapply. You will get a new report with updated info. I normally check every other day.

    Congrats Leo!!!

    Two questions for you...

    1. I used your (Bkev) method yesterday to dispute inquiries directly with TU. Do you have an opinion as to whether I will be successful?? I did not understand that you were using WK. TU is notorious for refusing to investigate inquiries.

    2. Have you had any problem with WK doing hard inquiries when you pull a report?? In the past, I believe this was reported here as a problem.

    Thanks Jim

I mentioned in another thread, that our best bet is for all of us to contact the FTC to notify them of refusing to investigate requested items. If the FTC tons of complaints regarding the same thing they will investiagate and possibly file a lawsuit.

All wk inquiries have showed up as soft inquiries on my hard copy sent by Transunion. I use Worthknowing to check if the inquiries have been removed. To actually dispute you have to goto Transunion website to initiate the dispute. Nothing to to with worthknowing.

Yes it's the one in Buffalo, they said they are responsible for 13 states. I'm in New Hampshire and they cover my state.

I faxed over an inquiry dispute to my local TU today at 230 EST for me and good ol' hubby. The removed 4 out of 8 inquiries for him. I was a little more greedy, I went after the company inquries that were on there several times over the past 2 years. I disputed 10 companies but a total of 21 inquiries ( I know I was greedy), but they did remove at least four of them. So from 56 inquiries to 52 WOO HOO!!I think I'll resend 4 more tomorrow.

I do not understand. You apply for credit, ok.
You wait for the inquiry to show on a credit report, ok.
Then you dispute the inquiry? Other than committing
fraud, how does this help?. Any credit you get based on the report with the disputed inquires removed is then based on fraud. If inquires were
than verified by the CRA and the company does an
AR, couldn't they say they were induced fraudulently
to grant credit and demand payment in full of the
account in question? Sounds too risky.
