    Please Respond.............

I am doing well and Junum is continuing to dispute stuff however pretty much the remainding items have been coming back verified.
I quit working at the car dealership yesterday because the hours were killing me and I am surprisingly 10 weeks pregnant too(I forgot to tell you all so I have been sick sick sick and working 60+ hours a week has been worse for my health. I already got a new fulltime position at a local dept store-The Jones Store working a measley 38.5 hours a week as compared to the 60+ and I don't have to deal with that crappy mean management team anymore. I will miss the big commissions but this is better for my health and well being right now anyway and my hubby makes good enough money for the both of us. We just use my money for one of the car payments, daycare, and misc expenses along with savings.
I do have a question though and I am kindof bummed about this. In order for me to use my discount (25%) I need to use my Jones Card which of course I don't have one and they made me apply to open an account with them saying I would get one then, but I mean what if I don't get approved:( I can't use my employee discount at all then, and that would be a big bummer. I have worked hard over the past year and have gotten my equifax score up from 561 to 621 and my TU is right at 602 but I still have negatives on the report so I am worried I won't get the Jones Card. Do you think I will get approved anyway because I am an employee? Or if I don't get approved does it mean I can't work for them? It doesn't say anything in the handbook about that but I think it is stupid to force employees to use a charge card in order to get their discount. Any thoughts of the situation are greatly appreciated.

Oh and you guys are getting me down on all this providian talk. As much as you all hate them, they are my highest credit card limits out there right now. I have 3900 at 16.99% on my providian visa Gold with a 800 dollar balance and 5050 on my providian mc with a 0 dollar balance. These are helping my debt to credit ratios by a ton since I am still currently over the limit on my closed citibank account by 300 dollars, coming down ever so slowly, dispite the 200 bucks a month I send them; but they have been reducing my interests rates, and said they could possibly reopen the account if I get it below the credit line and keep paying over the minimum payment required like I have been. I will be doing the biggest, hugest happy dance here the day I pay that card off. And it is my goal to have it paid off by this time next year.
Sorry this is so long it has just been forever since I updated you all.

    Hi Melissa!

Congrats!!!!--about the baby I mean. The credit and job stuff is cool, but c'mon, hardly in the same league as having a kid. Is this your first? If so, I'll just tell you that they're twice as much work and twice as rewarding as you ever imagined. They're even more fun to play with than they are to make.

    Best of Luck!!

I have NEVER herd of that store...BUT it sounds like they MUST give you the credit card REGARDLESS of your credit, because your discount depends on having the card...( I ASSUME THEY JUST TAKE THE 25% OFF THE TOTAL BILL AND CHARGE YOU 75%)...

THE OTHER ALTERNATIVE IS PAY SOMEBODY ELSE THAT WORKS THERE 75% OF WHAT YOU WANT TO BUY, AND HAVE THEM PUT IT ON THEIR CARD!?!?!?!?!?

Macy's does their employee discounts like that as well. They make you apply and if you don't qualify, they set you up with a card anyway with a $0 limit. Basically you have to put money on the card to be able to use it and get your discount. Maybe they have something similar???

So you make a payment for $100.00, then you can charge up to $100.00...SOUNDS LOGICAL, I GUESS.

IT'S A TARGET PRE PAID GIFT CARD...

Thanks guys for the congratulations. Nope this isn't my first it is actually a big surprise since we weren't trying to get pregnant at all. I have 4 kiddos already so this is #5 but I only have 2 living at home with me and my older two live with their father or my ex hubby. My new hubby is off to the snip snip doctor after this one is born because I don't want to risk anymore failed birthcontrol anymore. I am going to be busy busy.
Oh thanks for filling me in about the credit card situation and that prepay sounds like it should be right if I don't qualify for it. My hubby and I were talking the other night and I said to him what if they only give me a 200 dollar limit which would be typical for department stores. I could spend that on one thing and still need more, lol. I told him we would have to go downstairs to the credit office and make an immediate payment then go back to the sales area and finish paying for it. Quite funny if you ask me:) Anyway, I start training this morning so have a great day:)

My wife got the Hecht's card under similar circumstances. They are reasonable with their employees. You can pay your bill at any cashier, so if they give you a card, you can make a deal to pay immediately. We really shop there a lot because the discounts are great.
