Since my hubby just got updated Equifax- I want to know what UNsecured card, if any, he should try for. remember , they must use equifax.his report shows a discharged BK filed in96, 2 coll(total due for both $90) 4 charge offs(cap one included), 2 positive car loans and a closed in good standing MC from 92. I dont care if its a tiny limit-just to get started he will take anything. 4th post today-I am full of questions! But I know some of you are VERY knowledgeable and thru your experiences can help a great deal, thanks.
Hi Star, Are there no other positive trades on your hubbys CR. And is this the equifax report that they must pull with the Bk on it....are his other reports worse than the history you have written here?
yes, thats it for positives, and yes equifax is the best report, havent gotten other updated reports yet, but they were worse to begin with..HELP, just one little unsecured is what we need to begin
Star, maybe this will help: http://www.creditmania.com/thelist.asp http://www.millcbs.com/search.asp And, this previous post might help: http://consumers.creditnet.com/stra...hp?postid=66760&highlight=millenium#post66760 Bad girl for not looking hard enough!..Just kidding. I know it's a mess trying to find information.
star, Just curious what you have against secured cards. Most of these cards will let you set up for a very small deposit ($100-$300), and a few report as unsecured. If your objective is credit repair, this is probably the best way to go. Both my cap1 and wells fargo secured cards pulled equifax, and report as unsecured. Don't know what their policy regarding BK is. If you have an acount at Wells Fargo it could help. -Roman
I dont have anything against secured but I dont have hundreds of extra dollars to use for a deposit. I didnt know wells fargo had a secured, what are there requirments?
For a WF secured card, the only definite requirement I know of is that you can't have any outstanding or unresolved judgements. I've heard that not having an existing relationship with them (checking account, mortgage, etc.) is an automatic denial, but I've seen recent evidence to refute this.
