I have a question....I filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy almost 2 years ago and I have been trying to rebuild my credit. I just received my Trans Union and Equifax score. Trans Union = 655 Equifax = 646 Experian = ? Can anyone give me information on what these scores mean and how they rank? Thanks in advance
it means your credit is a whole heck of a lot better than mine! Are these considered medium-risk scores? anyone?? What have you done to rebuild after the bk?
I used Lexington last June 2000 and also I have disputed with the 3 bureaus online. Lexington was able to remove several chargeoffs and collection accounts. But I'm going to cancel Lexington and dispute the remaining items myself. I applied for Capital One credit cards to rebuild my history and I joined my credit union to establish a borrowing relationship.
Nothing against the people who have filed for bankruptcy, but it drives me up the wall to have 1 PAID charge off and 1 late pay on all 3 CRA's and have a score lower than 600. The late pay was in 96 and the charge off was in 97. UGH!! We have slowly been trying to fix my hubbys report, but I guess he might get a better score if he files BK. Kellie
Experian says that 655 is at the high end of the above average risk. 666 will get you into the medium risk catagory. Of interest, I also have a 655, but have no negatives on my report. Never a bankruptcy either.
Strange how 5 different people can have nearly identical credit reports yet have 5 different scores!Strange indead isn't it?
