I know its not much.......but it sure does make you feel good ) I applied for the target guest card and was approved online for $200 (its a start) I can't remember the last time I was instantly approved for anything??!!! Funny thing is I've been denied 2 in the past year (last time in late September) Oh well just wanted to share....
I finally received my Target Guest card with a whopping $200 limit today! I was denied a year ago when my credit was considerably worse and with one less year's worth of on-time pays (My credit scores are between 540 and 580 right now.) I had applied on-line for the Target Visa and got the "further processing required" message. I've been a Mervyn's account holder in good standing with Retailers National Bank (the issuer of Target Guest Card) since 1987. It was my first department store card. I started using the card after finding it reporting active on my credit report a couple of years ago. Hadn't used it in 3-4 years. Not sure if this has any bearing on their decision or not.
Congrats! I got the Target guest card in May with the $200 limit and by September (without asking and on time payments)they increased my limit to $500...just so you know. Congrats again!
Congrats! That is fantastic. I was denied for the card last month However, I have since added one more positive tradeline and deleted two negs. May pfb and ask them to reconsider, since my score went up considerably. I am so happy for you!
I applied online last week with Target and got the 'get back to you later' message. Today I received a Target Visa with a 10k Line of credit. The APR is 15.99%. I will definitely have to get that down. Phyllis
