I made a cc Pmt. that didn't get credited. When I asked them why- They told me they must have shredded it. Am I obligated to pay a late charge for that?

No I sent them 2 checks for 2 different accounts mailed on 11-29-1. One of the checks was credited 0n 12-5-1. I know they got both checks at the same time because I stapled them together,so there is no way that they only got one of them. When I told the rep this she then said they must have shredded the other check!
I have tried every trick in the book to make sure mail in payments are credited. But they always find a way to screw things up.
Which cc was it? I'm just curious because I usually don't have problems unless I send a very large payment which pays the balance off in (kinda makes ya wonder, doesn't it?). Otherwise, good old US mail generally works for me. Myschae
MBNA One visa the other master card This kind of crap happens to me all the time. Don't matter what kind of card or what bank it is. Some times i think their computers are set up to deliberately not recognize payments.
Interesting. Well, it certainly sounds like you send your payments far enough in advance. LIke I said, I rely almost completely on snail mail and I very rarely have problems except for when I try and pay things off. Especially balance transfers or those 90 day same as cash things. That's the only time I really have to watch them like a hawk. Who else out there relies on snail mail? Myschae
