I just rec'd my TU score online and it decreased by 68 points?? I had 2 CITI cards @ $5,000 each and a Target VISA @ $1,500 just added to report with a 10/1 open date. Is it possible that I really lost 68 points for opening these accounts?

I think their score is bogus. If fluctuates more than FICO!

I just lost 13 pts. on TU for having a $13,000 student loan added. It gained me 19 pts. on equifax so go figure.

They're score does change like the wind. My EQ and EX scores are both above 620 and TU score is 495 with less derogs.

I have had 3 items deleted from my TU report and my score has not changed at all.

My husband has had 1 item deleted and his score fell by 22 points.

Logic does not seem to be their strong suit.

YES, your score WILL decrease with brand new accounts added to your report. Not only are they additional credit risk, but the AGE of the account is what brings it down. Over time, these accounts will act as positives. But adding a brand new account will bring your score down, not up.
