I understand that Capital One does not post your Credit Limit to the credit bureaus. I was told that their gold card does....is that true?

My hubby has a Cap One gold card.... just checked his reports and no limit is listed... just says $0 limit.

Thanks. I was kinda hoping that it was true, it would be nice to have them reporting my limit.

Gold card does not report limit. From what I've heard, none of their cards do.

No limit. Just high balance information.

Max it out,pay it off. High balance becomes credit limit.

Directly from Exec dept: no. not on any cards because cardholders wanted to choose to "expose" their credit limits via high balance

Eg: you have 15K credit line but don't use more than 5k. you effectively hide 10k from other creditors.

Down side: as your high balance increases, Experian will make you look OVER your last high balance for one cycle. So if you're going to max it do it all at once, not incrementally over several months.
