Lien & garnishment delete help needed I am trying to come up with tactics to dispute a lien. Here is an example of how this one is worded: (this is on TU) Docket##### Superior Court State Tax Lien Plaintiff State of GA Entered 03/1991 Amount $745 (these are on EQ) Lien filed 03/01 XXXX County Superior Court Case or other ID number #### Amount $7853 Class-Federal Garnishment filed 09/95 XXXX County State Court Case or Other ID number ##### Defendant - Subject Plaintiff - XXXX Financial Garnishee - (current employer at the time) Tell me what's missing, what's wrong, etc. ANY help would be well-appreciated!!
Re: Lien & garnishment delete help needed I got a lien off because it was off by .14! So, if you owed $750.14 and they have $750--that is not 100% accurate, and it must be deleted. I said, "I never owed $750 to X." You are not lying and disclaiming liability for the record, merely, disputing an incorrect amount. It may take 3 or 4 tries before it is deleted. Hope this helps. cariba
Re: Lien & garnishment delete help needed Love, this is true, if the amount owed is not identical to the reported amount then it should be removed. I have gotten liens removed by this method. Also, ask for photo copies of the actual lien. In most cases, our friends at the CRA's will only verify it and send you the address and phone number of the county clerk. If you demand a photo copy of the lien then it is unlikely that this can be furnished within the 30 day window. Hope this helps Iv
Re: Lien & garnishment delete help needed what do you use as your excuse when disputing? "please remove dollar amount does not match? What did you use as a reason?
