Hello all. Been gone awhile due to PC problems so I have questions (lots). I value everyone's opinion so please feel free to jump in. 1. Got my report back from Experian and shortly after sent off 4 disputes. Got a response back saying "the items could not be investigated because I did not specifically say why the information is inaccurate". I listed on my disputes "item in dispute, please verify". I suppose that was not detailed enough, what should I send in return to that response? 2. Credit score with TransUnion 411(YIKES!!!!). How terribly irrepairable is that? 3. Sent request for report off to Equfax (CSC) on 11/09/01, have not received. What should my letter state to them in regards to it being over one month? Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Yes, you should give a specific reason why you are disputing the account (not mine, wrong amount owed, never late on this account, etc) 411 is bad, but not hopeless... my tu score is in the 400's but my other two are in 500's, that is why it is important to get reports from all cra's. we all hav to start somewhere. Look on your report and see what the major negs are and begin your plan of attack. Check this board and search old threads for help. You can do it!

1. I think you gave them plenty of info, you wanted everything verified, then they should have done that. But seeing as we are dealing with complete morons (CRA's) I would dispute the neg's as NOT MINE. 2. TU sux, you CAN fix that score, just not overnight. 3. I would call EQF to make sure they have the correct address for you on file. They probably don't and are sending your reports to an old address. They are gonna want proof, so mail them a copy of your DL and a phone bill (if they say they have a different address). KHM
Yes, I have had success. My first round of disputes in October I got one collection deleted from my reports and three from my husbands. my second round of disputes i got three collections deleted from my report and two from my husbands. I even got a judgement deleted from my husbands report this week! all of this has been done primarily by disputing directly with the cra's. I just sent out a bunch of disputes and validation letters about ten days ago and I am anxiously awaiting the results. My tu score has jumped 35 points since Oct.! So you see, there is hope, you can do it. Just read the board and search for threads that have to do with your situation.
