    Hi everyone,

I have been reading avidly the messages on this board and have started on my own "cleanup" mission. My most effective results were duplicate accounts from Gulf purchased by Genesis Solutions and United Credit were removed after disputing them online with Experian. And today: Hurray :) 8 inquiries removed after being disputed online with Experian. The FICO score went from 597 to 619 but one more inquiry showed up and it ended on 612 today.

Needless to say I am very excited to have joined you all on my quest with such a great support and depth of information.

Very happy to join in, network and share your successes in this task.

Was there anything illegal about the inquiries? Hard, when they should have been soft, etc.?

    Anya:

How many did you dispute at a time? What reason or argument did you use? How long did it take them to delete?

    Any answers would be appreciated.

    Shawn.

These were hard inquiries. I disputed 21 inquiries. My arguments were varied from: "I did not authorize this company to obtain my credit report" to " No knowledge of any business with this company".

    That's what did it.

All 21 at once and 8 deleted? That's pretty impressive.

I am still awaiting since they showed 6 more were pending. So, we'll see what happens to those...

Anyway, I am working on all stuff to hopefully reach 700 club soon.

    Hi.

No, nothing illegal about these. Just an overanxious broker shopping me around. That's what happened.
6 more are pending so may they will be deleted too.
