I've been subscribed to Credit Manager at creditexpert.com for quite awhile and I check it twice every day. All of a sudden a few minutes ago I checked and it says Score N/A, Score "0". It then has the following error message and code: We have not received any credit history updates on your open credit accounts or we have no new accounts reported for you in the past six months. If you have any questions, please contact 1-800-787-6864. (CM_8008)

That's completely ridiculous! Of course my many credit cards and accounts report monthly! I called the 800 number and the $8/hr person that answered told me that I'm getting this error because of no reporting by any creditors in the last 6 months. I insisted that there must be a computer error of some kind on their end and she was mystified. She claimed to have written a "trouble ticket" for "tech support". What should I do?

I wouldn't hold my breathe waiting for them to fix it - since I signed up over 2 weeks ago, both mine and my husband's reports on CreditExpert say we're currently delinquent on one account, and we're not delinuqent on anything. Yet it lists past due amount at zero. Plus we don't get email updates. So something is seriously screwy with their system.

I've called. I've faxed. I've called again and am just told that they've forwarded the info to Experian since there may be a glitch in the system. They assure me that showing a currently past due account doesn't affect my score??!!

Oh.. idea... call and ask to speak to Diane Kirkham - she's a supervisor at Credit Expert. I talked to her and she was very pleasant. Maybe she can help you out.

Also, don't worry 'bout your FICO score @ CreditExpert.. that's your Experian score... your FICO is just at Equifax. =-)

    Ozzy.

Thanks, I'll call Diane now, but I am pretty nervous. Do you think that if a creditor were to pull my experian today they'll get 0 score? or do you think this problem is strictly on credit manager?

I just got off the phone with Diane at Credit Expert. She seemed very interested in helping. She explained that Credit Expert is an outside vendor, not experian. She said that after talking with me she realizes that indeed I should have more than adequate history and there must be some other problem. She says that she has "gotten her technical team to tackle the problem because it is over her head".

She said she will call "her sole contact at Experian to get a opinion as to whether a credit would see a "0" score today but she suspects not. Diane says that even if the problem is not resolved today she will call me before close of business to update me on progress.

Call a couple of your credit card companies and ask them when they update with the credit bureaus. Its usually a few days after they send your statement. Ask them if they report to EXP and tell them that you need it updated. If your accounts are on CE but haven't reported anything, you might want to start a few investigations, saying your balance is incorrect or something. Also I would think if you have any derogs, now would be the time to dispute those as well.

I spoke to a woman at F.I.C.O. a while back. She told me that it is possible to have a zero score for several reasons. One reason could be that you have over 30 accounts, which can cause a problem with their scoring model. The second major reason only pertains to newbies or those who have never applied for credit before. Could the first reason be WHY? If it isnt, then creditexpert has some answering to do...

Yes, Credit Expert has some serious answering to do. I have no derog trades, 10 positive accounts, all R1, 6 of the positive accounts are credit cards that certainly report monthly. Furthermore, I dispute monthly and they have sent me hard copy update credit reports in the mail every month for the last year. They claim that whatever the problem is will be resolved by close of business Monday. I sure hope so! It's 4AM here on the east coast and I can't sleep over this damn thing...

Breathe, Superadman, Breathe! It'll be OK. Just a glitch in the system. They'll fix it and you're correct score will be shown again.

I have well over 30 accounts on my reports. I don't get a 0 score.

The only time I Credit Expert would not give me my score is when I first signed up for CreditExpert. It said there were over 100 items on my credit reports (accounts + inquiries, etc).
But it stated this reason on the screen. I got under 100 by dipsuting inquiries and duplicate accounts (student loans).

I'm keeping my sanity by remaining confident that the creditors don't see that "0" score. The tech support people at credit expert claim that the problem is some kind of glitch in their system that handshakes with experian's system. We'll see what Monday brings...
