Forgive me if anyone has read these prior posts, but I haven't really gotten an opinions on what to do.
    Husband's reports...

Experian US CreditCorp reported since 4/99 (That would be charge off date right) amount $548
Orginal creditor: Home Fed Savings Bank (Installment) Status 00

Equifax Morwell Financial (now calling themselves US Creditcorp) last activity 4/99 amount $548
Home Federal Credit Charged off acct. trn or sold last activity 5/99 amount 300...balance 0 status R9

Transunion Collection Activity Home federal 548 last activity 5/2001 amount $548
I mailed US a validate letter almost 1 1/2 weeks ago. Do I also need to mail Home Federal since they are reporting on EQX and TU? Does trying to delete duplicates admit the debt (in the EQX case) I took it as HFC sold the acct to US/Morwell since it is reporting a balance of 0? I just wanted to bounce some ideas off and see what other more knowledgable people reccommend.

I had a similar problem with my hubbys report. There were 2 collection agencies reporting the same debt, yet it had been paid. One reported a balance the other didn't LUCKILY they shared the same acct. #. I disputed the one with the balance as duplicate from the other. *I* called for hubby and said they are the same account, and I'm not sure if they are even his, but I KNOW that they are both the same, anyone with eyes can see that. That way by ME calling, he isn't saying "NOT MINE". Then i had him call up about 2 weeks ago and say the ohter account isn't his (they did delete the duplicate acct when I called). I would definately send the validation and estoppel letters to BOTH CA's.
