I just applied online with Fleet. Instant approval for their Titanium Cash Rebate card. $500 CL. Hooray!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love- Just in case you're interested, a friend of mine just got an personal loan with Fleet for $15000 and her score was 650 when she got it, she used it to pay her credit cards off (so she could have one monthly payment) it made her score up to 740 (now they are all paid off). Don't go applying cause of me, but just thought I would let you know! KHM
I'm not positive but I do know all of her scores are relatively the same. She said they pulled EXP for her and we live in NH they usually pull TU for us. KHM
Fleet pulled TU. On that report, I only have: car loan (opened 11/00), Cap One (opened 8/01), car loan (1995, closed), Sterling (opened 5/95, closed), Bank One (opened 1/96, closed).
Congrats Love! I'm very happy for your approval! At list, Fleet boston is alot far better than CCB,or FP!!! Both CCB, FP, sucks pretty bad..... Now, Fleet are so called " Prime Bank "...BUT, just as virtually notorious as First USA... beware!! http://apps4.vantagenet.com/zforums/thread.asp?id=71992246&view=By+Date&start=15&prev=9 Herman
Personal loan (FleetLine) and credit card (Visa/MC) are VERY different products. I have an unsecured FleetLine for $5k which they approved with no problem, but (at the time) they wouldn't consider a credit card. From what I understand (from my local branch manager), the credit card credit department is pretty much automated, score-driven, and not responsive to branches or personal appeals. The consumer loan origination folks (in CT) who approve home equity & unsecured lines/loans are more flexible. --mj
Love, I applied for Edvance Card on-line two years ago and I got approved for $5000. By the way, I had Fleet for over yrs and I didn't have any problems with them except they refuse to lower my interest rate. It is alright because I paid off monthly. You can paid on-line from your checking. By the way, Congradulation for getting Titanium Cash rebate Card. They pulled Experian on me. Ron.
On a whim, with a lot encouragement from www.millcbs.com (haha) One thing I like about them is that they give you your card number immediately so that you may shop online until your card arrives. Very thoughtful company
Laray, Just wondering... what is on your report? score? what state are you in and what report did they check?
Laray - I got declined too. I'm seriously bummed.... seems when you're in the high 600's you're stuck between subprime and prime... anyone else feel that way??? Ozzy.
Don't waste your inquiries on Fleet, people. Whether you're prime or subprime, there are better options (just about all of them). Saar
