I need advice on helping out a friend.....

I know this guy who thought he was God's gift to women. He figured he can just fly by...day by day without having the responsibilies of life, just as long as he had "women". Well I told him that his "lifestyle" would one day end and he'll be sorry. Well, it ended AND he's SORRY! Sorriest man I've ever known. But he confided in me and now needs some help.

He is really trying to get his life back in order. Just started a new job and needs a bank in order to have his payroll checks direct deposited. Only problem is everywhere he's applied...(BofA, Main Street, etc...) he's been denied. Apparently, he has some chex issues.

Does anyone know of a bank (in the state of GA) that will accept him. I just helped him order his credit reports and boy does he need help. Is there such a score as 50?????Anyhow, please let me know.

I'd like to know also. I have to close my current account because there aren't any branches south of the Mason Dixon line. I think I still have a chex item on my report, but not sure. If someone can give us some banks for checking and how to get our chex reports, that would be great. I was thinking of Wachovia, DH has accounts there. TIA

Netbank is pretty flexible. Lockheed credit union is flexible (most CU's in georgia check chex, btw). Might give www.wamu.com a shot too.

I can tell you right now every major and most minor walk-in banks are going to run chex. Ask me i've tried to get a walk-in bank account everywhere in GA and no dice.

    Thanks Sam.

Ok, tell me this.....how do I find out what acct is in the chex system and how do I resolve it? Or should I just dispute the account for him?

huh? go to the chex systems site and order the report from them. Try disputing everything, you might get lucky!

Sam, thanks again for the info. One more thing....do you have a website or link for them?

    www.chexhelp.com
You can order online if you've been denied an account. Otherwise its a mail in thing.

A bank called fort stills does not check-ever and if you get direct deposit they give you a debit card, the website for it is located on the forums of the chexsystems sucks website
