Hello to all and thanks for all your knowledge. I have listed my fiances entire report from CSC Credit Services below and would to know how to go about applying him for a card. He has never had one and compared to my credit his is good. Please review and any information will be helpful. Also, is there a reason he never gets offers through the mail? I get them everyday and my credit is far from clean (thanks to this board I eagerly await the day).

    Collection - Syndicated Office Systems - 10/98 $449
    Collection - Syndicated Office Systems - 09/98 $584
    Collection - Allied Interstate - 11/99 $112
    We plan to pay these.

    Collection - Division Of Child Support - 04/95 $5,875
We plan to dispute amount currently due.

    Charged Off Account - Lincoln Finance - 03/96 $1,636
We plan to dispute - Not his account.

    5 permissable inquiries
6 unauthorized inquiries that we will dispute
    Last permissable inquiry was 05/01

    Thanks for any input.

I will offer some info. On the accounts you plan to pay, make sure that negotiate for deletion prior to paying. If you pay these without negotiating for deletion, a paid collection or charge-off is no better than an unpaid on.

The best thing for you to do is not apply for anymore credit, until you get some of these accounts deleted. This way your chances of approval are greatly increased. Just because you receive a pre-approval offer in the mail, doesnt mean that they are "pre-approved". It has been said that the best and true pre-approval offers are those who already have your social included.

Before I pay anyone anything, I would ensure that you owe these accounts and the stated amounts. You can send a validation letter or dispute them directly with the CRA's. If they are unable to prove that the debt is yours or if they delete the acccounts, this saves you money.

    good luck

Are you sure you wanna marry this guy?...LOL just kidding!

Maybe he doesn't get offers because he opted to not have his information shared.

Please don't make the mistake I did. When you pay collections please insist on deletion. Get it in writing.

When my credit was derogs and no positives, I received Orchard, Direct Merchants, and Providian. Only Orchard was not secured.

Don't mind Killer, he obviously has not been burned by the child support collection racket.
