I have a collection agency on my report that has a bad rap with the BBB. Apparently they don't respond to complaints. Is there a way I can use that to my advantage when asking them to delete a tradeline (paid) from my reports? I already asked them to and they refused. TIA
I'm not the doc, but here's what I'd do. File a formal complaint with the attorney general's office in the state the CA is in. Explain your situation and the violations they have done. Explain they have a bad BBB record, and are being not only unethical but are breaking the law
Have you tried sending the BBB letter (sent back to you stating non-response from the CA) to the CRA? I have received a bbb letter of non-response, and am contemplating using it to dispute. I have another one whereas the dummy CA states they can not find my file bc there are several people with my name. Just an idea...
I have filed 2 complaints with the BBB regarding collection agencies. One with NCO and one with Allied Interstate. Both are NASTY collectors. In both cases they replied to the BBB as unable to locate account. Both all the suddon disappeared from my credit reports.
Yes doc it is a great idea! With the previous letters I mentioned, I received another from both the original creditor and CA apologizing and agreeing to close account and delete!!
