I wanted to also share my credit progress with everyone. I started my credit journey on January 08, 2000 when I signed a contract to build my home. Now, because my credit was in such bad shape, I had to get my boyfriend to cosign on the loan with me, all the while hoping that by the time I actually went to the first closing, I would be in better shape. Well, I wasn't but I still managed to get on the deed to the property and go through with the first closing which occured in August, 2000. I still wanted to do this by myself so I knew I had at least 6 months to work on my credit and, hopefully, get my scores up. Well, my house was finished in Feb 2001 and my scores still did not quite cut the mustard. So, the mortgage itself had to go in my boyfriends name only but I do have hopes of refinancing in my name alone. These are my stats thus far:

    1-8-00

    EQ

    24 accts total
    6 pos
    18 negs

    1 judgement, 1 BK
    (Score-493)

    1-8-02

    8 accts total
    7 pos
    1 neg

    1 BK, Judgement deleted
    (still waiting for current score)

    TU

    34 accts total
    12 pos
    22 negs

    1 judgement, 1 BK
    (Score-482)

    1-8-02

    16 accts total
    10 pos
    6 negs

    All public recs deleted
    (still waiting for current score)

    EXP

    15 accts total
    4 pos
    11 negs

    1 BK
    (Score-449)

    1-8-02

    14 accts total
    5 pos
    9 negs

    1 BK
    (Score-522)

As you can see, EXP is my hardest CRA to deal with but its all worth it in the long run. I have the house of my dreams and will continue to work on those negs and turn them into pos. I am happy to be a part of this board and am always happy to hear everyones success stories. Keep hope alive, everyone!

That's 35 total deletions by my calculations. That's great!! You're making progress. Just stick with it and before you know it you'll be getting that mortgage.

No, you're right, you ARE missing something. Correction, we BOTH own it, its just primarily in his name right now with my rights to survivorship. When I refinance, it will be in my name only. And I am very aware of all the legalities involved and there will be no nightmares here. But hey, thanks for your words of encouragement (sarcasm )and you can keep your luck. I don't need it from YOU. I was basically sharing my credit success. Just threw in the house stuff. And hey, have you ever heard of, "if you don't have something good to say, say nothing at all." Can't wait for something good to happen to you so I can be as encouraging as you.

    Drm-
I think he was just making sure you were aware of what could happen, it has happened to other people. Don't fret, I'm sure everything will be fine. Congrats on your deletion success!!!

Thanks, KMH. Maybe I read it wrong and, if so, I do apologize for my comments.
