I've been getting back results of investigations and other correspondence from the CRAs and have noticed that the file number (TU) and report number (EXP) have changed since I first started disputing. All the other info (name, address) matches up.

    Is this okay?

My TU file number is the same even looking back to a report dated 1996. My experian does change, because it is a report number only. TU should always be the same. That's weird.

I'm going to go ahead and give TU a call just to make sure everything's okay. The last thing I need is TWO crappy credit files:)

My Experian and Equifax numbers always change. TU stays the same except for a dash number...
xxxxxxx-17 is the original report (round 2)
-18 is the letter saying they got my dispute
-19 is the letter asking if I used a credit repair company
-20 is some kind of disclosure saying credit repair companies may be acting illegaly
    -21 is a "corrected" report (2 of 5 responses)
-22 is the final version after all the others responded

The number on my TU report changed from 104XXXXXXXX to 107XXXXXXXX, which to me seems like a pretty big difference.
