a few weeks ago i recieved a ridiculoius validation response from an attorney hired to collect a cc bill. Well upon sending a clarification of what i was asking for, this idiot responds by telling me if i want something in writing showing proof im supposed to call the creditor and request it. i told him if he wants to get paid he better do it since thats the law, well to make a long story short he finally agreed that he didnt think he could obtain a signature BUT " that i should guide myself accordingly because if it is verified that i could get in trouble for disputing it that it wasnt" LOL I promptly told him where he could stick the phone reciever and he hung up. I honestly am not sure whether this bill is mine. I had several accounts open at this time and really cant be sure. is there a grain of truth in what he said?

    Thanks

No. You can not remember if it is yours. You are asking for proof. It is your right to get it.
