Hello, I just received an Orchard Bank card $500.00 limit. I was wondering if people who have had the card can give me their feedback on how quickly a credit line increase came and what the amount was. Thanks BJ
call them up ask ask for something (now, 3-4 months from now) and keep doing it. They won't budge on the fee but probably lower your rate or raise your initial limit.. decent card, for what its worth.
BJ, I have had my Orchard card since May 2001 I got the same $500 limit, $79 annual fee. I activated the card and called them and told them to close the account because the limit was too low and the annual fee is to high. They transfered me to retention and the lady seemed very eager to keep me as a customer. She gave me two choices, $250 credit line increase or cut the annual fee in half $39.50 for the year. I picked the annual fee reduction. Credit line increases come every 3 months on the dot. You do not have to call them or bug them. They come automatically and my first one was for $100, the second one was for $150 My third one is due this february. On my one year anniversary I will call again and complain about the annual fee and if they don't budge and reduce it or waive it I will definately cancel it. Great card overall just the annual fee is to high. Good luck BJ !!!!!!
JR, did you have to use your credit line every month?? How much of your credit line did you utilize? I should be coming up on my first 3 months, just curious. Anybody have luck PlanetFeedback-ing the annual fee or limit? Yes!!!!! I'm too chicken to call!!!!
NEWSTDT, I did not have to use my card very much to get the line increases. As a matter of fact, I have never charged more than $100 and my limit is at $750 and the limit will be increased next month. I do try my best to use it at least once a month to show activity. I encourage you to call orchard about the annual fee. I don't think they will waive all of the fee but they have waived half of the annual fee for me. They are very friendly, especially retention. Call them, you have nothing to loose.
SMIT, I don't know what credit report they pulled on me but I had received a guaranteed appoval offer in the mail. I think my score at the time was 620 I have heard in previous post that people have gotten the card with low 500 scores. Good luck!
They pulled Experian on me and I had a 572 at the time I was appoved online. Got a 1000.00 limit annual fee is 29.00. I have had it 2 months. We will see about the cl increase ina few days....
Dont mean to be a nuisance but just want to remind you to note that on Can't you tell I like this site?
I have two Orchard cards. First card since 94 and the second since 98. CL increases are like clockwork, every three months except on the older card which maxed out at 5K and can't be raised. Because of that, I asked them to combine the accounts and I'm waiting to hear back. I've gotten the annual fee waived on both for the past few years even though I rarely use them and they make little interest off of me.
I know my score was in the 500's as I was only discharged chapter 7 in July 2001. I think they pulled Experian on me, don't remember seeing the inq on TU or Equifax. I did get that offer by mail. Hubby got approved also, but he keeps getting pre-approvals once a month to apply for another line! I get NADA!! Oh well, maybe they just want to see if people will keep applying or something. Seems like they should know what he has....I guess I'm a little jealous that I don't get anything! I know we've had that retention number posted in the past. I'll try to do a search. I guess I'll give it a try! My self esteem is shot as it is with the bk and I just figure people will say "HA!! Yeah Right Lady!!" Thanks everyone!
