Folks..... If a BK entry shows $0 for assets and liabilities, must it be deleted??? What is the letter of the law? Is it stated anywhere besides the generic "all entries must be 100% accurate"? Both TU and EX keep stonewalling me. What is the law? WHAT IS THE LAW!? Can anyone post or point me to THE LAW!?
I have the exact same problem and the cr's keep coming back verified and remains, I was told when I called to send them my paperwork, I said no way, I am very interested in any ones opinion on this too.
From what I can find out there is nothing that can't be reported so long as it is accurate. If you had dog turds and hog slop for berakfast they can report it if thats accurate.
I agree BUT in my case, the BK listing is not accurate. The liabilities and assets both say $0. Doesn't this make deletion mandatory? Has anyone sued and one based on this argument? Who here has actually won a dispute on this basis and have any of those folks talked with a CRA rep about this?
They tried that with me one time when I disputed an account. They wanted BK papers. I responded by telling them that it was their job to verify, not mine.
They want them so they can use them against you. You can hang me but I am not going to bring the rope.
I would also like to know that answer. I am sending out a procedure request letter certified tomorrow to Experian pointing out the fact that I do not have a BK with $0 liability amount.
See, this is what I mean. We all THINK that this is the law but none of us know for sure. It would be great to see it in black and white somewhere.
My discharged 7 is reporting on all 3 CRAs with $0 liabilities, $0 assets. Whatever the answer is, I'll be paying close attention so I can do it too.
I think there is case-law as well, but this is pretty clear to me: Make sure to print on white paper with black ink )
