Do you know what bureau they pulled from for you? Do you have any negatives on your report? My friend applied and was denied and all that was on the report was a school being paid on time and a entry from utility co. saying that the account had been paid late. They don't know the scores though. Please could you give details about if you have a huge income or something; how did you fill out the application? It is my understanding that scores in the 400s are bad. Thanks.

online, through an email offer from we deliver cellular. free nokia 3390 w/aol instant messaging, it cost me 9.95 for shipping per phone but i only chose 1 for now. i was shocked at the approval so i called voicestream to confirm and they said it was a yes. they said i could even go to their website or the store itself and pick out the phones. i did go to the website but there wasnt much of a selection so i think i will wait for the 1 from we deliver and then go for the 2nd one in the voicestream store. kelly

OMG yes 400's are bad and i have a ton of neg's i also was curious to see who they pulled TU blocked me out so i did not see that one but i bought EQ and it is not there nor is it on credit expert. so i am guessing TU, i live in AZ. and i have 26ish negs. 3 household(1 is a repo),wells,cap1,citi,providian and the rest are mostly medical. also the last time i saw it my TU score was 475. i do have FCNB,cap1,bank of hoven, first national bank and cross country loc all good and fairly high limits with about 1/2 credit being used and almost 2 yrs old. i guess i am pretty lucky on this voicestream thing aye? kelly

Your scores must be higher than the 400s. Would you let me know what your score is from TU? I think that is where they pulled for my friend. I can use this info when my husband applies too. Could you update when you get your TU score? Thanks alot.

Ok I received an offer from voicestream in my email. I trashed it but was able to retrieve it. After seeing this post and after a friend with bad credit was approved, I just applied. Drumroll please....I was approved! Yippee I can now dump AT&T pre-paid! A real plan! I was approved for

    - 500 Whenever Minutes
    - Unlimited Weekend Minutes
    - Free Nationwide Long Distance
    - Free Digital Roaming Nationwide
    - Voicemail with Messaging Alert
    - Caller ID, Call Waiting, Call Hold
    - Ping Pong- 50 Text Messageall

I don't know who they pulled but my scores are in the low 500's. The rep stated I didn't qualify for free phone so I must buy phone for $39. Oh well but no more embarrasing pre-paid!

    kell393,

My brother has a Voicestream. They are not bad and they are not great either. The voicemail took long time to my mail box like overnight. They pull credit report from TransUnion.

Oh yea...I wasn't required to pay a deposit. The number I called was 800-300-7066. The email I responded to had a promotional code. I don't know if you need one or not.

Nope not a fluke! But I don't know how you got 2 free phones with a lower score than mine. I didn't qualify for any free phone! Oh well, so goes life.

    good customer service already

Here's what just happened. Since I didn't get free phones my total start-up is over $100. When I gave them my debit card number (checking acct) I thought I was getting the free phone deal for $39. Knowing that many bills must clear my account and no room for the $100, I asked them to hold my offer until Friday when I can make a deposit (don't want to use credit cards). They said yes;however, I checked online and they debited my account. My bills are gonna bounce! I called them and the rep took my information and called my bank to reverse the action. I just checked and what do know, it's gone. She told me to call her Friday and she will redo the order without another credit inquiry.

hey killer, know what i was thinking? since you already have voicestreams approval, maybe you could call or go to the website and bargain w/them. i think they had a free phone there. though we seem to have gone to the same place to get a phone my offer code was 13821, they also have another goin on at simplywireless.com but it is a motarola phone. still voicestream has on their website a place to email customer care and when i did it yesterday they got right back to me. also here is the # to voicestream customer care 1-800-937-8997 . just in case it might be worth a try. kelly

    p.s.

i just called we deliver because they had sent me my new phone # but i had noticed that the 9.95 shipping charge had been put back on my card, well the rep told me that they only authorize the amt to be billed to see if card is good and they dont actually charge it until it ships, so it ships tomorrow and they will charge the card for real then.

    Re: p.s.

Yea I noticed that too. However, they put a hold the amount just like hotels.
