due to my CHOD disputes on TU. I didn't dispute the paid one and that is the only one left. In addition.... my other studen loan neg was deleted, leaving only one bad student loan report (down from three). I also had two other collections deleted. I did not get a score ....... but immediately called and should have an update cr and score by Monday. I am praying that this moves tu out of 500 club.

The other time of year to maximize dispute results is July/August because of vacations. CSOD (Crednitnet Summer Onslaught of Disputes) isn't quite as good as CHOD, but still much better than usual. :)

Now, lest anyone believe that I'm just making this up, here's a direct quote from the book "Credit Repair and Debt Collection Practices" by John M. Carter (copyright 1995, Dageforde Publishing, Amazon link):

The best time to commence cleaning up your credit file if you have a lot of negative entries to challenge is during the months of July, August, and December. Most of the more experienced employees of the credit bureaus are on vacation during these periods of time, and the lack of staff works to your advantage when it comes to meeting the deadlines. Further, less experienced counselors may not be aware of all of the investigative techniques used by the more experienced counselors. Therefore, their ignorance and or lack of experience will allow you to successfully challenge and remove more negative entries during vacation months than at other times. (p. 22)

CSOD anyone? (With kudos and apologies to Nave, of course, lol.)

    Doc

P.S. Here's the full list of Credit Repair books at Amazon. Have fun browsing!
