Hello Everyone, I have three Cap1 cards (one is the Kmart card), but I'm wanting their new platinum card to do a balance transfer. I just saw the offer on thier website, and it really looks good! I would like to close out a higher interest card. Do I apply online for the Platinum or should I just call the customer service number on my existing cards??? Also, does anyone know what the FICO score required for getting the Platinum? Thanks Calmest_LA
I had two classic and one gold...combined them and asked about platinum...hard inquiry required...Mr. Cooke Maybe, just a thought, what I was considering doing...apply on-line and then if denied....reconsideration? Might work, just a guess and thoughts people?
In the fine print for my Cap Plat it states that you cannot transfer current Captal 1 accounts to your new Plat card. You may want to check first just in case you were thinking of doing so.

Got approved with my scores in the 580 range....They just sent me an email...They had sent the offer to me last week and I thought that I would be approved for mayb e one of their cards..But they state that I have been approved for the Platinum card and they would send my card in the next 10 days ?? Have no idea what the interest rate is or my credit limit...That is going to be my next question...............
