    Hello Everyone,

I have three Cap1 cards (one is the Kmart card), but I'm wanting their new platinum card to do a balance transfer. I just saw the offer on thier website, and it really looks good!

I would like to close out a higher interest card. Do I apply online for the Platinum or should I just call the customer service number on my existing cards??? Also, does anyone know what the FICO score required for getting the Platinum? Thanks :)

I had two classic and one gold...combined them and asked about platinum...hard inquiry required...Mr. Cooke

Maybe, just a thought, what I was considering doing...apply on-line and then if denied....reconsideration? Might work, just a guess and thoughts people?

In the fine print for my Cap Plat it states that you cannot transfer current Captal 1 accounts to your new Plat card. You may want to check first just in case you were thinking of doing so.

From the Capital 1 balance transfer screen. It may vary for others?

This balance transfer will have an APR between 4.9% and 16.9%. Approved balance transfers may reduce your available credit. In addition, the grace period for purchases may not be applicable for balance transfers. If you have received information from Capital One regarding a balance transfer offer, the terms of that offer will apply. If you would like to know the exact APR or other details for this balance transfer, please call 1-800-955-7070 to speak with a Capital One Customer Relations Representative.

You may transfer balances up to your current available credit.

Upon approval, Capital One will send payment to your creditor within two weeks.

Sorry, only transfers from non-Capital One accounts will be accepted.

Please continue to make your minimum payments to your other creditors until your statement reflects the transfer.

Remember only balance transfers that do not exceed your current available credit will be processed. Your current available credit may change based on outstanding transactions that have not yet posted to your account.

Have no idea what the interest rate is or my credit limit...That is going to be my next question...............
